Azicip is derived from Erythromycin, its active ingredient is Azithromycin. It is used for the treatment of patients with acute bacterial sinusitis, community-acquired pneumonia, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, uncomplicated skin, and skin structure infections, cervitis, urethritis, and genital ulcer diseases. Azithromycin fight against bacterial infection in the human body. Azicip is also used in children to treat tonsillitis, strep throat, pneumonia, and middle ear infection. It will not treat viral infections such as the common cold or flu. The most common treatment-related side effects in adult patients receiving Azicip were connected to the gastrointestinal system, with diarrhea/loose stools, nausea, and abdominal pain, being the most frequently reported. Get emergency medicinal help if you have any signs and symptoms of allergic reactions including difficulty in breathing, hives, and swelling of your face, tongue, lip, or throat. Stop using Azicip and call your health care specialist at once if you have a serious side effect such as: diarrhea whether it is watery or bloody, uneven heartbeats, chest pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-coloured stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes) nausea, stomach pain, low fever, fever, severe skin reaction, sore throat, skin pain, followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (specially in the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling.
